Slightly Askew--LOVE your wines but have to tell you that your wine tasting holds a special memory for me.

This is my story:

On Sept 11th, I went to downtown Elkin to get an ice cream at Royal's Soda Shoppe. I was at the counter and had decided on what i wanted for ice cream. There was another customer standing there placing his order. He happened to order the same kind and I just told the lady that she could make two of those. She got his ice cream and he then handed me HIS ice cream, which I thought was a very nice gesture. We chatted a bit and got 'kicked out' at closing time at 3. We were both disappointed but we exchanged phone numbers. As I was leaving in my car, he said he needed directions to the highway. I told him I would show him how to get there but I had wanted to stop at your winery to get some wine (had a taste of it at the 4th Friday night festival in downtown Elkin). He said he would love to stop too. So, we stopped, did the wine tasting, and had an absolutely fun time!!! We now consider that the best part of that day and are still seeing each other--so Slightly Askew is a big part of our slightly askew meeting and that is why you have a special part of our memory of our chance meeting!!! Look forward to seeing you all on occasion--LOVE your wines!! Nasty B is my favorite!

We loved visiting Slightly Askew and will definitely be back for the Deck the Halls festivities and will see you then! ;) I have a feeling you'll be our favorite winery to visit whenever we are in the mood for a bike trip. You can't beat the prices of the wines or the quality of them, it made it hard for me to decide which ones we could fit in the bag to ride home! We saw the pictures you posted as well...too funny!

Ed and I enjoy ourselves every time we go to the Thursty Thursdays. Great wine, yummy snacks and good conversations in a warm and inviting atmosphere! Who could ask for more!

Just wanted to drop you a line and wish you and your wife a Happy Holiday... The Bottle of Peachy Keen you gave to us while at the beach (Topsail) over the summer was just opened for the Holidays... it is wonderful...Just thought we would drink that bottle during a special occasion (NO BETTER TIME THAN X-mas)... Just curious if you can maybe post a price list on your website per bottle and also would you be willing to ship your wine to Illinois... Hope your HOLIDAYS are full of happiness and good cheer...

Just a line to say that your wine left me with the whaoo effect. I had a chance to work with Tim and his crew at the last North Carolina wine festival in Winston Salem. I tried several of your selection and I was very impressed. All the selections were every bit delicious. Cheers!

We are ardent admirers of Slightly Askew fruit wines. Living in VA has its drawbacks when I'm trying to get "stocked up" - thank goodness my inlaws live there in Elkin so I can make sure my well never runs dry!

I had the pleasure of first tasting your wine at the Greensboro wine festival last year. My Daughter and I are hooked!
We drove up for your Festival this year and met some really wonderful people. The cupcakes were yummy! the food was fantastic and the music was right on for the mood.
We will be making another trip soon because the case is almost gone.
You hit a home run and we will convert as many others as possible.
See ya soon!

We recently visited Elkin, NC to get a Christmas tree and was told about Slightly Askew. Boy, are we happy we stopped in. You guys were great! Thanks Tim and Karen. The tasting was great and the wine was awesome. Both my boyfriend and I said that there was not one wine we didn't like in the tasting. In fact, it was hard for us to choose which wines we wanted in the case we bought. You all were a joy to be around especially with the stories about how you came up with the wine names.

Thanks for the memories! We will most likely retun to the Elkin area just to buy more wine! :)

Keep up the good work!

I had the pleasure of tasting some of your wines today at the Budbreak Wine Festival and I LOVED all of them! The wines I drank were my favorites out of everything at the festival! I can't wait to visit the winery sometime soon!
